I don't really like the look of this from those screenshots. Not exactly sure why people are excited for this. There isn't much to indicate it will be anything more than mediocre.

There isn't much info at all for this game either to say it won't be... :| Seriously this game isn't even expected to launch this year. So it's far to early to even judge if it won't be till around Holiday 2010I don't really like the look of this from those screenshots. Not exactly sure why people are excited for this. i dont agree by far the best on the cube was rebel strike and, based on these screens, this game looks better then you've got to consider that no other game on the cube looked nearly that good (twilight princess was above average but not groundbreaking, it just had a nice style, sunshine was good for it's time but looks SO dated now, wind waker still looks immense but it's that technically impressive - it just has an awesome style)As much as people praises the dev for the graphics their games still deosn't touch the best the GC had to offer.

As much as I dislike shooters, I have to admit a Van Helsing themed Left 4 Dead sounds awesome. :P If HVS can prove themselves to be a good developer by the time this releases, I'll be buying (that's also assuming I've seen some gameplay of it and it runs smoothly :P).
It looks okay.
That's the problem with HVS's games, they are just okay. Except Conduit, that looks horrible.
Well at least they're getting better. :PIt looks okay.

I want HVS to try something new, like a platformer or RPG game. Too many shooters.
Well at least with shooters they're harder to screw up (all you need is responsive controls for the pointer) gameplay wise. An RPG needs the story and battle system, and platformers just need everything to be good. :PHaha, well you got me there. :P

I think that they should devote more time into making Wiiware games first to test out new areas to see where they're strengths and weaknesses are. I don't like HVS, but I have to admit they are devoted to their games.

The best development houses in the world (Nintendo, Capcom, Blizzard, etc.) make a huge variety of genres. HVS should at least look into other genres before doing another FPS.

HVS is just now getting their chance to experiment with their own titles after making licensed games since they were created. Now that they can make their own games, they should try as many different titles as possible to see where they shine. Wiiware gives them the oppurtunity to make whatever genre they want with little risk and high reward. For all we know, HVS could be the best Puzzle game maker on the planet, and nobody will ever know unless they experiment in that genre.

They obviously dont want to make puzzle games. Why "should" they do what you are saying they should? FPS is a hugely needed genre on the Wii and they are smart to making them to satisfy the fanbase on Wii who wants them. Please, show me where I said I had a problem with them making these games. :| This is not a hard concept to understand. They don't know what they're best at until they try it. I am not saying they shouldn't make FPS games anymore , I am saying that they should use the oppurtunity that is Wiiware and the Wii to see what they are best at. I cannot make that any simpler to understand.

See what they're good at on Wiiware? What do you think this is highschool course selection? Seriously, are you even reading my posts? Wiiware is a massive oppurtunity for HVS. They're still a small developer, they don't have anything to fall back on if The Conduit fails. Wiiware could not only get them some extra cash, but they could easily see what other kinds of games would perform well on the Wii and what they're good at making.

There are so many more platformers than shooter on The Wii. It's not even close.
A good RPG is lacking though. I hope Bethsoft comes throughon this.

I agree. Dont know what this guy is talking about. The Wii is in need of more shooters.Agreed, and these two FPSs are completely different beasts.Conduit is a single player experience with emphasis on online-versus, Grinder is a split screen co-op experience with emphasis on on-line co-op with something else up their sleeves, if they can be believed;)
It's like asking why the 360 needs left 4 dead when it already has halo... both FPSs, yet there is no way you could say they are the same:P

That's a very good point you brought up, had forgoten about that. Indeed high voltage is putting a lot more effort then other companies and laughing at what they say the Wii can't do ;)
It's called replying or do you not know what that is. :? And who said anything about not liking that game. I have yet to play it to know. I said it looks like a DS game. How that translates into not liking a game is beyond me. If anybody here is trolling, it is you. I added to the thread with what I thought. All you care to do is quote me to argue that basically you don't like my opinion. But the thing is, I really couldn't care less that you don't like my opinion. So I say to you, STOP TROLLING. Stop quoting me just to argue that you don't agree with my opinion and actually try contributing to the thread. ;) Did you seriously say that your first impression was that this was a DS game? [QUOTE="Maglovin"]What are you still doing here if you dont like the game? Oh..... yeah... trolling.Redonkulous_D
That statement is by no means a matter of opinion. If thepic was horribly pixelated was only 3in large, then you could mistake it for a DS game, but that's obviously not the case.
Just like this cake...
Your "opinion" is a lie!
Seems you don't know what "opinion" mean. And opinion is nothing more than that, a opinion, not a lie. Also, the cake is not a lie. I take it you either never played Portal or you haven't beaten it. I really couldn't care less if you people believe or not. When I first came in this thread and only saw the small pics (before people started putting up the bigger better looking pics), I thought it was a DS game. And if my statement is by no means a opinion, then what is it...a FACT? No son I don't think so. It is just my first opinion of the game, not facts. Sure once I saw the bigger pics, I change my opinion or my lie seeing you can't seem to tell the difference seeing you want to say my opinion is a lie (how a opinion is a lie is beyond me). If you actually tried reading the thread instead of one or two of my replies, you would see I changed my opinion of the game. After seeing the bigger pics I actually said it looked pretty good for a Wii game. Anyways, I am done with this thread. It isn't a DS game, so I have no reason to want to return to this thread.Good day to all you people that like to hate on other peoples opinions when they don't agree with your opinion.

1.I've completed portalmany times. I was just using the cake as a clever way to tell you that you were lying(a poor attempt at humor).2. I put the word opinion in quotation marks becausewhat you called youropinioncould not be considered one. You said that a 6 somethin inch Trilinearfilteredpic with a 16:9 aspect ratio was indistinguishable from a 3 inch pixelated pic with a 4:3 aspect ratio. That is a lie.
3. the word opinion means, and I quote"a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty." Your statement can certainly be considered a lie as it rests on grounds sufficient to come to the conclusion that it is false. You pretty much said cow's and fish are identical to each other even though there are virtually no similarities between them.
4. I have read your posts before responding, but that doesn't make this one any less of a lie.
